FAQs
I don’t have a computer/internet. How do I make an appointment?
Residents age 80+ who are not able or not comfortable booking an online appointment are encouraged to seek out a support person (caregiver, family member or friend) who can assist in booking this appointment on their behalf. Phone support will be available for those who may require it. Please remain patient over the next couple of days as York Region finalizes this information.
Do I need to pre-register to receive the vaccine?
Pre-registration is not required at this time. Residents age 80+ will not be able to book vaccine appointments until Monday, March 1, 2021 at 8 a.m.
I turn 80 later this year, can I still get the vaccine?
Yes. Effective Monday, March 1, 2021 at 8 a.m., all residents born in 1941 or earlier can book an appointment for their vaccination by visiting york.ca/COVID19Vaccine.
Can I get a vaccine without an appointment?
No. Vaccines will be available by appointment only and only for York Region Residents. Proof of age and residency will be required on the day of your appointment.
My family member/caregiver will be taking me to my appointment. Can they also get vaccinated?
