Belt and Road Summit to be held in Hong Kong in May
The Chinese government issued a document entitled “Vision and Actions on Jointly Building Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road” (Belt and Road Initiative) in March last year. The Initiative is designed to enhance the orderly free-flow of economic factors and the efficient allocation of resources by expanding business cooperation between East and West.
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will jointly organise the inaugural Belt and Road Summit on May 18 in Hong Kong. International thought-leaders, senior ministers from countries along the Belt and Road and world-renowned business leaders will join the summit for an in-depth exploration of co-operation opportunities. It will also be an excellent networking platform for project owners / operators, investors and services providers from around the world.
HKCBA National Conference to be held in June
The Hong Kong - Canada Business Association (HKCBA) will stage its National Conference between June 2 and 4 in Calgary. Panel discussions will be held at which business leaders will discuss the business trends and opportunities in Hong Kong and beyond. Other highlights include the Hong Kong – Canada National Investment Pitch Competition and the National Awards Dinner. HKETO is a major sponsor of the National Conference.
