·The City of Toronto is continuing its efforts to enforce compliance with By-laws and Provincial orders:
o in parks and public squares
o closures of non-essential businesses
o municipal and provincial public health measures
Government of Ontario
·There were no updates or announcements from the Government of Ontario today.
Government of Canada
·Prime Minister acknowledged this is a difficult time for those with disabilities and the crisis has shown the gaps that and has presented an opportunity to address them and make Canada more inclusive and equitable.
·The Canada’s political Parties are negotiating whether or not Parliament will to return tomorrow. Unanimous consent is required for and the Conservative Party is currently withholding consent.
·The Prime Minister indicated that the COVID-19 case numbers trend in the right direction – downward.
·The Prime Minister asked children to celebrate National Volunteer Week by:
o saying thank you to everyone who is doing their part to help out right now;
o asking parents if they can help make dinner; or,
o doing extra cleaning at home.
