Mandatory face masks in public – Yes or No
City of Toronto staff will be presenting a report to the June meeting of City Council with respect to whether or not wearing a face mask should be mandatory when a person is out in public. ·Effective July 2, it will be mandatory to wear face coverings on TTC property and vehicles
·Toronto Public Health has provided guidance documents for local businesses and community organizations for a safe re-opening when the City receives Stage 2 re-opening approval. Read more.
·Data shows that ActiveTO is providing with outside space to be physically active and practice physical distancing. Read more…
Government of Ontario
·· The Government of Ontario has extended all emergency orders until June 30, 2020.
· The Governments of Canada and Ontario are investing up to $10 million in emergency assistance for beef and hog farmers. The funding will help cover the increased costs of feeding market ready cattle and hogs due to COVID-19 related processing delays, while re-directing surplus pork products to help those in need.

·· Effective Monday, June 22, Parks Canada will start re-opening some camping sites.
·· The Federal Government will be releasing an economic and fiscal snapshot on July 8to provide Canadians with an understanding of the current Canadian economy, including how the Federal Government’s response to COVID-19 compares to that of other countries and what Canadians can expect for the future.
·· Almost $500 million in funding will be provided to researchers through the annual discovery grant program of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. This money will help support thousands of Canadian researchers whether they are studying climate change, developing artificial intelligence or making strides in chemical engineering.
