To Alberta with Love From Ontario
The Fort McMurray Fire in Alberta has touched Canadians all across the country. We, people in Ontario would like to show our love and concern to the People in Alberta. A community initiative was created – To Alberta With Love From Ontario.
To Alberta With Love From Ontario plans to deliver 100 teddy bears to Fort McMurray families. Teddy bears, mugs, books and especially greeting cards drawn by kids were collected.
2 volunteers, Kathryn Zhao, an immigrant from China and Aaron Chen, a visitor from Taiwan help the initiative by driving to Fort McMurray to deliver the gift boxes. They choose Canada Day to start their 4,000KM mission. Kathryn said we are all Canadians and we should help each other. Aaron said Canada helps international relief many times and it is his turn to show his support as a friend from afar.
