COVID-19 Updates – April 17 2020
I want to thank everyone for joining in the ‘Thank You’ to our Frontline Workers at the Scarborough Grace Hospital today. Over 300 vehicles including those of the residents, the Toronto Police, the Toronto Fire Department, the Toronto Paramedics Services, and the Toronto Zoo drove around the Scarborough Grace to show their support.
Elizabeth Buller President and CEO of the Scarborough Health Network states in an email:
“ I wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for organizing today’s parade at Birchmount. What an amazing event! I am humbled by your efforts and the great response from the community and our partners in care; EMS, Police, Fire. I think we had over 300 vehicles join! The staff and physicians were overwhelmed and inspired by the demonstration of support. As Lisa said, “it brings joy in a stressful, vulnerable time.” Your enthusiasm and passion was contagious for everyone. Thank you!
I look forward to continuing to work with you to do what we can to support our frontline workers during this challenging time. “
