多倫多市政府
• 多倫多市政府於今天發佈了一份回應「有關市內緊急避難所法庭命令申請通知」的聲明。市政府已獲得該通知,並表示了她他們已在採取前所未有、堅定和迅速的行動來保護市內的露宿者。
安大略省政府
• 所有省級公園和自然保護區將在2020年5月31日前維持關閉
• 至另行通知維止,所有預約將被自動取消。早前已預約的人士將獲得全額退款。
• 早前已預約於2020年使用露營營地的人士,如需更改或取消預約,無論抵達日期如何皆能獲得免罰退款。

加拿大聯邦政府
• 總理宣佈將撥款6,250萬加元,款項將用於在疫情期間支援魚類和海鮮加工者,及確保該行業的工人能夠安全地地繼續工作。
• 總理昨天與各省長就重新開放加拿大經濟逐步進行了會談。聯邦和省的首長正與共衛生官員合作,以建立重啓准則。為避免混亂,總理亦表達了全國性協調的必要性。
• 能否重啓經濟取決於是否有足夠的個人防護裝備來保護上班的工人。總理表示,未來幾周將有更多載有PPE的貨機抵達本國。
COVID-19 Updates – April 25 2020
I will be hosting a teleconference next week to help Ward 22’s school children and parents cope with staying at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. I will be joined by our trustees, educators and psychologists who will offer advice on home learning and maintaining mental and physical well-being. City of Toronto
·Today, the City of Toronto released a statement on the notice of application regarding City emergency shelters. The City is in possession of the notice of application with respect to its unprecedented, determined and expedited action to protect those experiencing homelessness in Toronto.
Government of Ontario
·All Provincial Parks and Conservation Areas will remain closed until May 31st, 2020.
o Reservations for arrivals up to, and including, any further closure extension date will be automatically cancelled. Reservation holders will receive a full refund with no penalty.
o Penalty-free refunds to reservation holders who wish to change or cancel their 2020 camping reservation, regardless of arrival date, will also be provided.

o The Government of Ontario is providing frontline workers with a temporary wage increase during the COVID-19 pandemic. Those eligible to receive the payment include staff working in:
§ long-term care homes;
§ retirement homes;
§ emergency shelters;
§ supportive housing;
§ social services congregate care settings;
§ corrections institutions and youth justice facilities;
§ home and community care providers; and,
§ some staff in hospitals.
§ An extra $4 per hour will be provided on top of existing hourly wages, regardless of the qualified employee's hourly wage.
§ Employees working over 100 hours per month would receive lump sum payments of $250 per month for each of the next four months.
§ Eligible employees working an average of 40 hours per week would receive $3,560 in additional compensation.
Government of Canada
·Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced $62.5 M to support fish and seafood processors through the COVID-19 pandemic and help ensure workers in the sector can safely continue their work.
·The Prime Minister spoke with Premiers yesterday about the gradual reopening of the Canadian economy. All leaders are working with public health officials to establish principles and guidelines. He stated that coordination across the country must be done to avoid confusion.
·Opening up any sector of the economy hinges on adequate PPE supply to protect workers. The Prime Minister indicated that more planeloads of PPE will be arriving in the coming weeks.
