市議會在今天通過了ActiveTO自行車網絡擴展計劃。Huntingwood Drive將增設自行車徑以提供居民更安全和有效地執行社交距離措施的環境。
在電塔通道草坪的自行車徑
我們過去曾向您提及過在McNicoll Avenue以南與在 Pharmacy Avenue 和Birchmont Road之間的電塔通道新建新的自行車徑的計劃。
市政府目前正在研究該處的電磁場數據,並正與有關公用事業公司簽訂基建協議。工程時間表仍有待落實,至另行通知為止。

ActiveTO Bicycle Lanes
Today, City Council approved the expansion of Toronto’s cycling network through the ActiveTO program. Bicycle lanes will be implemented on Huntingwood Drive to allow for safer and better physical distancing.
Bicycle path on Hydro Corridor
In the past, we communicated with many of you with regard to the proposed bicycle trail on the Hydro Corridor on the south side of McNicoll Avenue between Pharmacy Avenue and Birchmount Road.
Currently, the City is reviewing electromagnetic field data and finalizing agreements with utility providers with infrastructure in the vicinity of the trail. The time needed to complete this work has not been determined and the project will be deferred until further notice. Read more…

·Today, Toronto City Council approved a temporary deferral of property tax payments, without property owners having to incur late payment fees or penalties. City of Toronto property owners with a good payment history – those up-to-date on their tax payments as of March 2020 – can request additional time to pay their taxes without incurring interest and late fees for a six-month period effective June 1 to November 30, 2020. Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial hardship resulting from COVID-19, including a prolonged suspension of pay or loss of employment, excessive business revenue loss or business closure, or a pending business insolvency or bankruptcy.
