多倫多市議員萬利高Nick Mantas發表「國際婦女節」聲明

3月8日是國際婦女節。值此國際婦女節到來之際，我們共同慶祝鄰里社區和偉大城市以及世界各地的婦女在社會、經濟、文化和政治等方面所取得的卓越成就。

她們是我們的女兒、姐妹、母親、祖母、和女性朋友、同學及同事。她們以非凡的愛、遠見、勇氣和不屈不饒的精神，改變了我們平凡的生活。

2022年國際婦女節的主題是「今日性別平等助力明日可持續發展」。通過加強婦女權利和為她們充分有效參與掃除障礙，我們將最終實現性別平等，並建立更加強大的團隊、企業與社區。

賦予所有婦女權利並保護她們的人權，對於確保所有人擁有一個更加公平和繁榮的未來至關重要。當每個人都成為社會平等的一員，我們就能造就人類團結，達成共同理解，並幫助恢復和平所需的平衡。

作為多倫多士嘉堡——愛靜閣市議員，我想藉此機會衷心祝願所有婦女 - 國際婦女節快樂！

International Women's DayStatement by Nick Mantas,Member of Toronto City Council

March 8 marks International Women's Day. On this day, we celebrate together the outstandingsocial, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women in our neighbourhood, our Great City and around the world.

They are our daughters, sisters, mothers, grandmothers, female friends, schoolmates and colleagues who have made a difference in our ordinary lives with their extraordinary love, vision, courage and resilience.

The theme for International Women's Day 2022 is "Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow." By strengthening women's rights and addressing barriers to their full and effective participation, we will eventually achieve gender equality and build stronger teams, businesses and communities.

The empowerment of all women and protection of their human rights are crucial in securing a more equitable and prosperous future for all. When everyone is recognized as equal members of society, we create unity among humanity, reachinga common understanding and help restore the balance needed for peace.

As the Toronto City Councillor for Scarborough-Agincourt, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all women a happy International Women's Day!
