During this time, the City of Toronto could not function without our frontline, healthcare and essential services workers. I would like to say a big THANK-YOU to these workers. We continue to appreciate all your efforts in keeping us healthy, safe and well supplied.
If you are a non-essential business and have unopened and unexpired Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), I strongly encourage you to donate these to our frontline workers at this time. City of Toronto
· Mayor Tory has signed a new by-law under the Emergency Declaration to impose a 2-metre physical distancing rule in all City of Toronto parks and public squares.
· Any 2 people who do not live together who fail to keep 2 metres of distance in a City Park or Public Square will be subject to prosecution and upon conviction will be liable to a fine of $5000.
· City Parks will be subjected to ‘blitzes’; 200 by-law officers have been recalled to work with Public Health and Police officers to increase patrolling.
· 15 sets of concrete blocks are being dropped off at parking lot entrances, including Sunnyside Park.
Government of Ontario
· The Government of Ontario is supporting truck drivers by
· asking business owners to support them when they are stopping to rest, get gas or use washrooms
· businesses who rely on truck drivers are expected to provide them with necessary facilities so they can keep doing their jobs safely
· providing more safe places for truck drivers to stop and rest across the province and are keeping all 23 ONroute travel plazas open for take-out, grab and go and drive-through services, including washrooms and enhanced cleaning - also providing portable washrooms at 32 truck inspection stations
· Attorney General Downey announced emergency action to support victims of crime and protect front-line staff who continue to uphold the admin. of justice in response to COVID-19
· The Province is providing emergency funding of up to $12 million to immediately expand online and virtual mental health supports and $2.6 million to hire new psychologists and other mental health workers to support OPP personnel
o Mental health agencies will receive emergency funding to hire and train more staff and purchase necessary equipment, appropriate technology and additional licenses
o Emergency funding will expand onto platforms such as:
- BounceBack: A guided self-help program for adults and youth aged 15 and over
- Kids Help Phone: 24/7 virtual support to young people
- Internet-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: online CBT
- iCBT for frontline health workers
- Training for Brief CBT-based interventions - training will be provided to frontline workers

· under 18 can locate mental health services through the Ontario.ca and Kids Help Phone websites or contact 1-800-668-6868 for 24/7 support
· Good2Talk is a free, confidential mental health support service providing professional counseling, information and referrals for mental health, addictions and well-being to post-secondary students in Ontario
Government of Canada
· The Prime Minister and all Premiers will hold a teleconference this evening to discuss how to keep Canadians safe.
· The federal government has ordered medical equipment for Canadian hospitals and ensures that quality checks are being conducted.
· The Prime Minister restates that physical distancing is extremely important and that everyone doing their part will save lives.
· For the next 6 months, at a minimum, the federal government will continue to cover the eligible costs to First Nations child and family services to youth who would have otherwise aged out of care.

多倫多市府
• 莊德利市長在宣佈多倫多進入緊急狀態後,又簽署了一項新法規,規定在本市所有公園和公共廣場,人與人之間的距離不得少於兩米。
• 任何兩個不是居住在一起的人,如果在城市公園或公共廣場未能互相保持2米距離,均將受到檢控,一經定罪,會被罰款5000加元。
• 警方會進行突擊行動;已召回200市府執法人員,與公共衛生部門和警員一起增加巡邏。
• 將會放置15套混凝土路障在公園停車場出入口,包括Sunnyside公園。
安大略省省府
• 省府致力於對卡車司機提供協助:
O 在卡車司機停車休息,加油或需要使用洗手間時,商家應提供便利。
O 業務上需要與卡車司機打交道的商家,應為他們採取必要措施,使他們能夠繼續工作並得到安全保障。
O 在全省範圍內,為卡車司機安排更安全的停留和休息場所,並保持所有23個ONroute沿線廣場開放,維持外賣,即時提取和駕車通過服務,包括提供洗手間並加強清潔— 以及在32個卡車檢查站設置便攜式衛生間。
