COVID-19 Updates – June 2, 2020
I have been watching, with dismay, the situation in the United States and here in Canada.
It is abhorrent that in this day and age, people are still being targeted - for being ‘different’.
We all have the right to be treated equally.
I believe that we must Respect and Accept each other. We should Celebrate our diversity and Embrace our differences, because we are all part of the human RACE.

·Despite COVID-19 is you are thinking of resurfacing your driveway or replacing the asphalt and/or paving stones you need a permit. Permits will only be issued to applicants using a driveway paving contractor licensed to work in the City of Toronto by the Municipal Licensing & Standards Division. In order to do so, you will need to contact Transportation Services at the Scarborough Civic Centre in order to obtain a Paving Permit. You may contact Transportation Services at 416-396-7505 or call my office at 416 392 1374.
·Despite COVID-19 you still need to cut your grass - Municipal Code Chapter 489, Grass and Weeds and Chapter 743, Streets and Sidewalks outline outlines standards with respect to grass, weeds and vegetation on private property, streets and sidewalks. These standards apply to properties in Toronto and include standards for any gardens on the public portions of a property. The owner or occupant of private land is required to cut the grass and weeds on their land, and remove the cuttings whenever the growth of grass and weeds exceeds 20 cm (8 inches) in height.
