The Honourable Dr. Reza Moridi, Minister of Research and Innovation & Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities visits Mon Sheong in celebration of the Year of the Monkey

Minister Moridi partakes in Chinese tradition, handing out red packets to the elderly

RICHMOND HILL, February 10, 2016 – The Honourable Dr. Reza Moridi, Minister of Research and Innovation, and Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities visited the Richmond Hill Mon Sheong Care Complex and Richmond Hill Long-Term Care Centre this morning. Together with Mon Sheong’s Board of Directors, Minister Moridi spent the morning with residents, handing out red packets in celebration of the Chinese New Year holiday.

The group then proceeded to visit the Mon Sheong Richmond Hill Long-Term Care Centre. Waiting warmly for the Minister were residents of the Home, dressed in festive Chinese New Year costumes. They were delighted to receive red packets from Minister Moridi and ended the pleasant morning together with a performance by volunteers of the Home.
