World War II in Asia Canvass Exhibition & Reception Toronto

On Thursday, December 8 th, 2016 Soo Wong, MPP and ALPHA Education are cohosting a canvass exhibition and reception (11:30 AM – 1:00 PM) at Queen’s Park.

The Second Reading of MPP Wong’s Private Member’s Bill on Nanjing Massacre Commemorative Day will be 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. The events in Nanjing continue to have an effect on international relations and Asian identities in the present, making the Massacre a foundational event in history. However, Ontarians have not had the opportunity for a thorough discussion and examination of the World War II atrocities in Asia, and many are unfamiliar with this part of history.

It is important for Ontarians to reflect and to educate themselves about the enduring lessons of the Nanjing Massacre. Please come and join MPP Wong and other Asian community leaders to learn about the histories and atrocities of World War II in Asia.
